Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Digital Wallet?
Digital Wallets are apps that connect your accounts with a compatible smartphone.
When using the app, you can pay in-store without taking your credit or debit card out of your wallet!
Which Digital Wallets does OE Federal support?
You can link your OE Federal credit and debit cards to:
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Samsung Pay
Can I use my Digital Wallet at traditional payment terminals?
Both Apple Pay and Google Pay require the terminal to be set up for contactless payments.
Samsung Pay uses MST technology to replicate the magnetic stripe on the credit or debit card. This allows you to use Samsung Pay with most traditional terminals.
Do transactions made with Digital Wallets have the same protections as those made with the physical card?
You are given the same protections when paying with a Digital Wallet that you would have had if you paid with the physical card.
What happens when my card is replaced?
When a card is replaced or expires, the existing token will generally associate with the new card. In the instance this does not happen, you will see an alert with the Digital Wallet application. You can register the new card to your device as you did originally.
Lost and stolen cards must be re-registered.
