HOW TO AVOID MALWARE AND COMPUTER VIRUSES

We’re dedicated to protecting the safety and security of our OE Federal family. With rampant identity theft and fraud, even the most computer savvy can fall victim to cyber crime. So we compiled information on Malware, Financial Malware, and Anti-Virus protection to help keep you ahead of the game.

WHAT IS MALWARE AND FINANCIAL MALWARE?
Malware is malicious software that can be installed on your PC without your knowledge.
Financial Malware is malicious software specifically designed to steal credentials on financial web services and applications.
Often called Viruses, Worms, Trojan Horses, and Man-In-The-MiddleCriminals attacks, criminals use this software to take over your PC or Smartphone so that they can view your website activity, steal passwords, and even retrieve keystrokes. If you notice a sudden increase in pop-up advertisements, a change in your settings that you didn’t make, or a decrease in your device’s speed and efficiency, you may have malware installed on your PC. Luckily, malware is easily removed with regular updates to your anti-virus or malware software. Here are some more resources that teach you more about malware and what to do if you think it’s been installed on your computer:?
